Intercom’s inactive workspace deletion process

To comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we automatically expire data we don’t require or use.

We delete workspaces without a subscription once they have reached 180 days of inactivity. We only keep data for workspaces with active subscriptions. If your workspace reaches this state, we will notify the workspace creator and security contact by email, 90 days before deletion starts.

Preventing the deletion

If we’ve contacted you about deleting your workspace and you want to prevent the deletion, you will need to add a paid subscription. You can start a subscription from your billing page. Simply logging in does not stop this process, you must start a subscription.

Please note that the deletion process is irreversible and cannot be paused once started.

Downloading your data

If your workspace is inactive we will delete it, but you can download your data anytime before this happens. Please see these articles about downloading your user data, and your conversation or message data. You can also find more options for downloading your data here.
