With the Intercom email composer, you can add multi-column layouts to make your email newsletter and marketing campaigns more engaging.

After you have created a new email, you can add four pre-made multi-column layouts from the media inserter, which appears on hover in the middle of the email composer.

Insert Layout > Choose a layout from the layout library.

Images shown in the layout library will appear as “placeholder images”. Clicking the image placeholder shows the “Choose image” button which then opens the file picker modal.

You can customize the inserted layouts by adding/removing columns and rows. Layouts can have up to 4 columns and an unlimited number of rows.

Custom attributes and all content types can be added to columns (excluding nested multi-column layouts) and work the same as outside of the multi-column layout.

The option to insert a layout does not appear when the cursor position is already inside an existing multi-column layout.

You can preview your email designs on a mobile device by clicking the mobile icon in the editor.
