Customize the look of your Help Center footer with three possible templates; simple, classic, or multi-level. Brand your footer by uploading a logo, adding up to 16 social media links, and grouping footer links in your chosen template for easy organization.

This footer will be consistent on all pages of your Help Center (homepage, collections, articles).

Get started

Selecting a footer template

Go to Settings > Help Center > Configure & style and navigate to the Styling > Footer section.

Select a layout template for the footer; simple, classic, or multi-level.

  • Simple is the default template and doesn't use columns.

  • Classic allows up to 4 columns to be created.

  • Multi-level allows up to 6 columns to be created.

When a you select a template, you can preview how it will look on the right.

Once you've chosen a template, click Save and set live to save your changes to the Help Center.

Logo and Text field

Go to Settings > Help Center > Configure & style and navigate to the Styling > Footer section to upload your footer logo or preferred image (this is independent from the Header logo) and choose to add your company slogan or contact information below it.

Once you've uploaded a logo or edited the text field, click Save and set live to save your changes to the Help Center.

Social media buttons

Link to social media by adding your handle for up to 16 common social platforms by going to Settings > Help Center > Configure & style and navigating to the Styling > Footer section.

Scroll down to the "Social media buttons" and select + Add social.

Social media buttons can be reordered by using the drag and drop tool next to them, or removed by clicking the bin icon.

We support the following social platforms:

  • Instagram

  • Linkedin

  • Twitter/X

  • Tumblr

  • Facebook

  • Twitch

  • Tiktok

  • Telegram

  • Reddit

  • Discord

  • Pinterest

  • Youtube

  • Github

  • Vk

  • Dribbble

Once you've added Social media buttons, click Save and set live to save your changes to the Help Center.

Manage footer links

Add and manage footer links by going to Settings > Help Center > Configure & style and navigating to the Styling > Footer section.

Scroll down to "Footer Links" and select Manage links.

You can group links together by creating columns. To create a column give the column a name (this is optional) and use the dropdown arrow on the right to start adding the labels and URLs for each footer link below that column.

Links can be deleted by clicking on the bin icon next to the link.

Footer links are created independently from Header links in your Help Center and must be set up separately (they don't sync with Header links).

To add multiple columns, select + Add column.

Columns can be deleted by clicking the Delete column button in the column.

Footer links and columns can be re-ordered using the drag and drop tool next to each link and column.

Once you've finished managing your footer links, click Save and set live to save your changes to the Help Center.

Note:

  • Maximum columns allowed per template:

    • In the Multi-level template you can add up to 6 columns.

    • In the Classic template you can add up to 4 columns. Any additional columns won't be displayed.

    • In the Simple template columns are not displayed, only the links in the first column will be displayed in the center of the footer.

  • A maximum of 8 links can be added to a column.

  • A column must contain at least one link to be saved to your Help Center. Columns which don't contain any links will be deleted when you click Save and set live.

Localizing footer links

To localize your Help Center footer links, simply use the language selector above the columns in Styling > Footer > Manage footer links.

Choose one of your supported languages in the Help Center to start adding custom columns and footer links for that language.

Once you've finished localizing your footer links, click Save and set live to save your changes to the Help Center. Now this will display the footer in your supported languages when they match your customers' device settings.

Intercom link

Display a subtle link to the Intercom website on your Help Center footer. This setting is controlled by your Messenger preferences.

If you don't have this option in your Messenger settings then this feature is not available on your current plan.
