Action templates for Fin use third party apps you’ve installed on your workspace to automatically configure the action for you, so it’s ready to test and set live instantly.


Shopify actions

Get order info

When you set up this action, Fin can fully resolve requests from customers who want to get information about their Shopify order. This uses your existing Shopify integration, so there’s no additional connections that you need to make with another tool.

Simply set this action live using the preset conditions, or set your own conditions to tell Fin what requirements must be met before getting order information from Shopify.

Common use cases

Use this action when customers:

  • Want to get tracking information for their order.

  • Want to find out when they will receive their refund.

  • Want to know their order status.

  • Want to know if they are eligible for discounts or within a refund period.

How this template is set up

A typical setup for this action might look like…

  • Action name: Get order info

  • When to use: Use to get details about the customer’s orders and help troubleshoot any order related issues. This action will provide all the order details for the customer like order status, items purchased, shipping address, tracking information, or other relevant order details.

    • Example customer queries include:

      • What's the status of my order?

      • Has my order been shipped?

      • Can you send me my tracking link?

      • Where will my order be shipped?

    This action does not perform order management functions like returns, refunds, or updating an order.

  • Who it’s available for: Users and “shopify_orders_count” is “greater than 0”.

You must install the Shopify app on your workspace to use this action template.


Statuspage actions

Get unresolved incidents

When you set up this action, Fin can fully resolve requests from customers who want to find out about any incidents or check on system performance. This uses your existing Statuspage integration, so there’s no additional connections that you need to make with another tool.

Simply set this action live using the preset conditions, or set your own conditions to tell Fin what requirements must be met before getting unresolved incidents from Statuspage.

Common use cases

Use this action when customers want to know:

  • When an incident started.

  • The current status of the issue.

  • Which products or services are affected by an incident.

  • If the issue is fully resolved.

  • If the system performance is back to normal.

How this template is set up

A typical setup for this action might look like…

  • Action name: Get unresolved incidents

  • When to use: Use this action to look up unresolved incidents.

    • Example customer queries include:

      • When did an incident start?

      • What is the current status of the issue?

      • Which products or services are affected by an incident?

      • Is the issue fully resolved?

      • Is the system performance back to normal?

  • Who it’s available for: Leads, Users, and Visitors

Stripe actions

Get subscription info

When you set up this action, Fin can fully resolve requests from customers who need information about their subscription through Stripe. This uses your existing Stripe integration, so there’s no additional connections that you need to make with another tool.

Simply set this action live using the preset conditions, or set your own conditions to tell Fin what requirements must be met before getting subscription details from Stripe.

Common use cases

Use this action when customers want to know:

  • What their subscription status is.

  • When they will be charged.

  • Which plan they’re subscribed to.

  • How often they are billed.

  • When their subscription will renew.

How this template is set up

A typical setup for this action might look like…

  • Action name: Get subscription info

  • When to use: Use to get details about the customer’s subscriptions and help troubleshoot any subscription related issues. This action will provide all subscription information for the customer like subscription status, billing frequency, next billing date, or plan details.

    • Example customer queries include:

      • What’s my subscription status?

      • When will I be charged next?

      • Can you tell me which plan I'm subscribed to?

      • How often am I being billed for my subscription?

      • When does my subscription renew?

    This action does not perform subscription management functions like pausing, canceling, or updating.

  • Who it’s available for: Users and “Plan” is “Paid”.

You must install the Stripe app on your workspace to use this action template.

Get charges

When you set up this action, Fin can fully resolve requests from customers who want to find out about their recent payments through Stripe. This uses your existing Stripe integration, so there’s no additional connections that you need to make with another tool.

Simply set this action live using the preset conditions, or set your own conditions to tell Fin what requirements must be met before getting payment information from Stripe.

Common use cases

Use this action when customers want to know:

  • Why their last payment failed

  • When they will receive a refund.

  • A breakdown of what they were charged for.

  • Which card they last used to make a payment.

How this template is set up

A typical setup for this action might look like…

  • Action name: Get charges

  • When to use: Use to get payment information of a customer account and help troubleshoot any charge or payment related issues. This action will provide information about payment and refund statuses, currency used, card details used, or charge amounts.

    • Example customer queries include:

      • Why has my payment failed?

      • When will I receive my refund?

      • What was I charged for?

      • Which card did I use?

    This action does not perform actions like collecting a payment or issuing a refund.

  • Who it’s available for: Users and “Plan” is “Paid”.
